This game at Stanley Park was a crucial test to whether Blackpool were in contention for a promotion place & they stood up well to the challenge as Blackpool got off to a great start when Daniel Woodman took on three opposition defenders to slot the ball into the bottom right hand corner, a few minutes later Steven Whitley added a second as a struggling South Cheshire failed to compete with a strong home side. Whitley added a third for Blackpool shortly after South Cheshire pulled one back minutes before the half time interval.
From the break Blackpool came out strong and the away side started to crumble as Captain David Morgan fired in two long range efforts added two more for Blackpool with thanks to some good midfield play from Liam Morrow & Rob Abbott. Steven Whitley fired in a shot into the roof of the net bring the Blackpool total to six to get his hatrick. Another excellent performance from Blackpool as they climb to 4th in the league with being serious contenders for promotion. Blackpool 1st XI would like to thank Walkabout for their match sponsorship.
