Blackpool travelled to 3rd bottom Southport with only 10 players, due to a series of unfortunate circumstances.
However despite being a man short they played very well as a team. In fact they took the lead at a short corner after Mitch Blakemore’s initial shot was saved, Sam Goudie flicked the ball over the keeper into the goal.
Southport came back with a lucky goal and then took the lead before half-time.
There were no further goals in the second half so Blackpool fall back in the race for 2nd place in Division 9N, and can only hope that Carlisle somehow drop points before the two teams meet in the final match of the season.
