Blackpool travelled to Formby knowing they would have a tough game against difficult opponents, especially after they had only managed to draw against them in the autumn which meant two vital points dropped in the race for promotion.
However the team was strengthened with both Sam Goudie and James Slater returning to the team after tours of duty with the 1st team whilst that team had been short of regular players.
They duly obliged with a goal apiece. Mitch Blakemore and Paul Atherton scored the other two goals and in the end it was a convincing 4-0 victory.
Blackpool stay third in Division 9N but have the chance to reduce the gap when they play league leaders Urmston on Saturday, in what is promising to be a real humdinger of a match.
