With the two first choice strikers unavailable, the fixture against Suprise league leaders Keswick was not going to be easy, With Martin Hayes at a New York Training Camp, and League leading scorer Alex Diver ruled out through injury, Blackpool failed to convert their plethora of chances and fell out of the Promotion hunt with a 3-2 defeat.
Although Blackpool played the best hockey against a Poor Keswick side, the inability to convert chances and Penalty Corners meant that Keswicks ability to hit blackpool on the counter attack left Blackpool a mountain to climb, as the hosts found themselves 2-0 down at the 20 minuite mark. Both Keswick goals scored due to poor defending from the midfield, allowing Kesick to attack with pace, against a labouring defence. Blackpool got back into the game before half time with a goal from the evergreen Steven Whitley.
The Second half saw much of the same, and when Keswick scored a dubious third, Blackpool piled on the pressure however could only score one more in reply, that coming from Vetran Andy Mortimer.
