Blackpool Men’s 1sts 2 – 3 Bowdon Men’s 3rds

It was a familiar story at Stanley Park as Blackpool Men’s firsts couldn’t convert their chances, going down 3-2 to Bowdon thirds.

In a fairly open and even first half, both sides had opportunities to take the lead, but it was the visitors who converted first to take a lead into the break.

After half time, Blackpool were much improved and justly found an equaliser through Sam Robinson on a break-away. Bowdon hit back at a penalty corner that was deflected in off the rebound, but with fifteen minutes to go, Blackpool converted a penalty corner of their own to level it up at two a piece.

With both sides pushing for a winner, again it came down to who made the most of their opportunities, with Bowdon converting another corner to run out 3-2 winners.
