Blackpool 2’s continued their tough season with an 8-0 loss away against Warrington 1’s on a wet windswept afternoon.
Blackpool had a new goalkeeper Jamie McKinnon who made some good saves but couldn’t stop the endless attacks and pressure that the more mature Warrington side put upon Blackpool. Their first was scored from a short corner, and another from a clinical shot from just inside the D, and it was 4-0 at half-time.
Blackpool struggled to keep possession throughout the pitch, with any mistake pounced upon and counter-attacks started. Warrington managed another 4 goals in the second half, and it was a game to put behind us.
The next 3 weeks will define Blackpool’s season as they play the 3 other teams at the bottom of Division 4N, none of which have yet won a game.
