Blackpool 2s travelled to one of the largest clubs in the country, never mind the North West, Brooklands in South Manchester to play their fifth team. Nathan Woodman scored first after some slick passing between him and his fellow striker Martin Hayes. Brooklands responded with a goal from a short corner. Just before half time, Mitch Blakemore scored a fine individual goal, but after the break Brooklands again equalised through another short corner.
Blackpool re-took the lead for the third time when Mike Sharp scored from a counter attack and a final pass from Hayes. The lead was extended to 4-2 when Sharp scored again after Hayes slipped him the ball following an eye of the needle ball from Woodman. However Blackpool were dismayed to be pegged back with two more short corner goals, from a well drilled Brooklands side.
Blackpool stay 6th in Division 5, after 1 win, 1 loss and now 1 draw.
