Blackpool’s third team were defeated 2-1 away to Keswick third team.
Blackpool had the better of a scrappy first half but were unable to take advantage of a number of short corner opportunities, Steve Pope coming closest with a shot that hit the outside of the post with the goalkeeper beaten. At the other end Keswick came close to scoring on the counter attack with goalkeeper Toby Jeffrey denying the Keswick striker who was clean through on goal.
Keswick broke the deadlock early in the second half with another counter attack, Toby Jeffrey saving the first shot but unable to do anything about the rebound. Blackpool continued to push forwards in search of an equaliser but it was Keswick who doubled their lead. A cross from the right wing was half stopped by a Blackpool defender but the Keswick striker reacted quickest to take the ball round the Blackpool keeper and shoot past the defender on the line. Blackpool pulled a goal back through Will Pickles but were unable to create any clear opportunities for the equaliser leaving the final score 2-1 to Keswick.
